SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

May 2013 edition

The British Government, in the form of Justine Greening the “Overseas Development Secretary”, has recently announced that it will be halting its “Overseas Aid” handout to the “new” South African government. This giveaway of British tax-payers’ money evidently currently stands at £19 million per annum – but was apparently as high as £40 million per year in 2003 at the height of Tony Blair’s New Labour administration.

The fact that so much tax-payers’ money was being given away to a failed terrorist-ruled state probably came as a great shock to most British citizens. It was not only the fact that their money was being handed out to such a disgraceful entity which angered British taxpayers the most however, but the fact that prior to the handover of South Africa to the ANC regime the country was an advanced first world nation, which rather than accepting handouts from overseas countries was actually making similar generous donations itself to other sub-Saharan African states!

South Africa – regardless of the administration in charge – is blessed with probably the greatest mineral wealth on earth. It has an abundance of lush agricultural lands, and a coast-line teaming with sea-harvest. There is therefore absolutely NO WAY that a country such as this – whatever its government – should EVER require financial assistance from overseas. The fact that the ANC regime has accepted such largesse simply confirms not only its incompetence, but also the totally immoral nature of its rule.

But there is a further important matter to consider here. Why should Britain (or any other Western nation for that matter) have such a thing as a “Department for Overseas Development”? Most of these reprehensible handouts go to third world states which just a few decades ago fought against benevolent British colonial rule, often with the resulting despots who came to power resorting to terrorist tactics to achieve their aims. If they wanted “independence” so greatly then let them have “independence” – and this should mean standing completely on their own financial feet.

The Swinton Circle has argued in a press release that Britain’s overseas aid budget should be reduced and targeted only at the UK’s overseas territories and those Commonwealth countries which still remain realms of the Crown. We would actually go further than this and advocate that the “Department for Overseas Development” should be abolished and replaced by a rejuvenated Colonial and Commonwealth Office, through which all aspects of Empire/Commonwealth liaison and mutual assistance should be co-ordinated.

Justine Greening has undoubtedly made a good start in her job by ending the obscene handout to the ANC regime, but we hope that she will be able to go far, far further, and ensure that her entire unnecessary and unwanted department is abolished.

SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS

The Swinton Circle's St.George's Day buffet proved to be a great success. The guest speaker, Dr. Simon Heffer (the editor of the Daily Mail's on-line RightMinds section) gave a captivating talk which covered both the funeral of Baroness Thatcher (at which he was present) and the life and ideology of John Enoch Powell (Dr.Heffer wrote the official biography of Enoch Powell: "Like the Roman"). There was an excellent turnout for this event, including several new faces - and one “old face” who we hadn't seen for decades! The buffet snacks served afterwards proved to be of a sumptuously high standard, and increased enthusiasm and optimism was clearly generated by this most convivial evening.

----------------------------

Details of the Swinton Circle’s next meeting are as follows :-

Date :  Wednesday 8th May 2013

Time :  18.45 hrs for 19.00 hrs.

Venue :  Committee Room 8 of the House of Commons

Guest Speaker :   The Rt. Hon. JEFFREY DONALDSON M.P.

Jeffrey Donaldson was born at Kilkeel, Co.Down, in 1962, and attended Kilkeel High School and Castlereagh College. He served with the UDR from 1981 to 1985, when he was involved with counter-terrorism operations. Having joined and become active in the Ulster Unionist Party during his youth, he served as the official Agent for the Rt. Hon. John Enoch Powell, then MP for South Down, from 1983 until 1985.

In 1985 he was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly, being at 22 the youngest person to win a seat at Stormont. In 1997 he was elected to the Westminster Parliament as MP for Lagan Valley, and has been re-elected at every general election since. In 2004, however, having become disillusioned with the increasingly compromising stance of the UUP leadership, he joined the Democratic Unionist Party. He was appointed a Privy Councillor in 2007, and is currently the DUP spokesman on Defence and Security issues in Parliament, as well as sitting on the Defence Select Committee of the House of Commons. He is also a founding member and Co-Chairman of the All Party Group on Countering Violent Extremism.

Jeffrey has a keen interest in military history and war heritage and is a member of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Board on the centenary commemorations for World War One.  He enjoys travelling and reading, activities often associated with his aforementioned interests in war heritage. He is married to Eleanor, and has two daughters, Claire and Laura.

The Houses of Parliament should be entered via the main St.Stephen’s Gate entrance. Security will undoubtedly still be very tight, so we therefore strongly advise everyone to give themselves plenty of time to pass through potential queues. If asked the purpose for your visit simply state that it is to attend a meeting to be addressed by Jeffrey Donaldson MP in Committee Room 8. Unfortunately also Committee Room venues are occasionally altered at the last minute, so it might also be a good idea to check at the information desk on the Committee Rooms floor to confirm whether the meeting will be in Room 8 or not.

----------------------------

The Swinton Circle is also planning a most interesting meeting on 11th July, which will be addressed by a leading official from a well known pro-freedom organisation. More precise details will be given in future editions of the SCN.

“O CALPE  -  GIBRALTAR

Gibraltar is still very topical. It is an excellent place to visit, and it has a fascinating history. The Great Siege of Gibraltar was from 1779 to 1783. At that time Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was commissioned to compose celebratory music. But, he couldn’t finish this work. This great musical work has now been completed by Robin Willow, and can be accessed in both written and musical form at :-.

LATEST REPORTS FROM THE ZIMBABWE CONSERVATION TASK FORCE

We have recently received the following most interesting reports from the ZCTF, though they contain both encouraging and worrying news :-

5 BABY ELEPHANTS RELEASED

We are pleased to announce that 5 of the baby elephants held in bomas in Hwange National Park have been released. Animal welfare inspectors and a veterinarian from the ZNSPCA inspected the holding facilities at Umtshibi in Hwange National Park and confirmed that the elephants had been held under satisfactory conditions.

The 5 elephant calves were loaded under the supervision of veterinarians, animal welfare inspectors and animal transportation specialists. They travelled through the night on Friday and reached their new home in Umfurudzi National Park on Saturday morning. They will undergo rehabilitation and be integrated with other elephants.

We would like to thank Lisa Hywood of Tikki Hywood Trust and the ZNSPCA for the part they played in getting the elephants released

MORE ELEPHANTS TO BE EXPORTED

The 5 elephants released in Umfurudzi is a hollow victory as we have now discovered that another 4 elephants will be exported to China. They have apparently paid for 8 elephants and so far, only 4 have gone. We believe there are another 2 elephants in a boma in Victoria Falls awaiting export. We have sent photos of the elephants to elephant specialists, Dr Joyce Poole and Cynthia Moss and they have both confirmed that they are aged between 3 and 4 years old - definitely not older than 4. This means that the elephants have been removed from their mothers while still drinking milk from them.

The Public Relations Manager of the Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Authority, Caroline Washaya-Moyo stated that they would have to engage China on other arrangements to export 4 baby elephants to the Asian country which had ordered 8 elephants. Only 4 elephants were sent last month. Apparently the reason the animals are being exported is that National Parks have not been able to pay the wages of their employees for the past 3 months.

We also have unconfirmed reports that these 8 elephants are part of an order of 60 elephants which are due to be exported to France, Belgium, Texas and China. We would like to appeal to those people who have placed the orders to please cancel them.

THE BRITISH LIONS

Great excitement of course currently reigns across the British Isles regarding the forthcoming British Lions Rugby Union tour to Australia. Inevitably, alas, the powers-that-be continue to refer to this touring party as the “British and Irish Lions” as a sop to paranoid Irish Nationalists. But why not call the team the “British and Welsh Lions”, the “British and English Lions”, or the “British and Scottish Lions”? All of these titles would be just as ridiculous and just as geographically inaccurate. Encouragingly, however, recent news footage which we have seen from Australian television stations has constantly – and correctly – referred to the touring party simply as the British Lions. This is a title which everyone must try to use constantly in the run up to and during the tour – with all those politically-correct zombies who continue to use the ridiculous title of “British and Irish Lions” being put firmly in their place!

"P.K. VAN DER BYL - AFRICAN STATESMAN" by Hannes Wessels

ISBN: 978-1-920143-49-7 / paperback / illustrated
Retail price: R250.00, Web-site price: R200.00 + postage

The narrative gives the reader an overview of the history of the White man in southern Africa with detailed emphasis on the Rhodesian story through the life and times of PK van der Byl, one of the major players in a political drama that ended in the accession to power of Robert Mugabe under the auspices of the British government. By his very nature PK was controversial and confrontational. This account is likely to give offence to some because it portrays him as bluntly as he was in real life. Much can be contested about PK van der Byl but few will dispute he was an extremely colourful character with a devilish sense of humour. This memoir covers his life with a full flourish while doing nothing to detract from the seriousness of the international political and military conflict in which he was engaged. The reader will glean new information on a highly controversial subject and emerge with a more sympathetic understanding of what PK van der Byl and his colleagues did and strove for. The human tragedy that has followed the removal from power of Ian Smith and his Rhodesian Front party will almost certainly force the reader to deal with some uncomfortable conclusions, of value to anyone sincere about grappling with the volatile and deeply troubling challenges that confront all Africans today.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.174:  Mr. RUSSELL CRYSTAL of Johannesburg..

Russell Crystal led the anti-NUSAS National Students’ Federation (NSF) during the 1980s, and was in charge of the NSF chapter at the University of the Witwatersrand where he studied. Although the NSF was subsequently exposed as a Department of Information-funded front, established in order to counteract the poisonous influence of NUSAS on English-speaking campuses, those involved were undoubtedly true South African patriots who became active because of their love for their country and its people, rather than through support for the National Party government.  Russell Crystal himself was undoubtedly a very talented and committed person, but unfortunately nothing has been heard of him since the 1980s. It would be very interesting therefore to learn what became of him and where he is now.

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE OF THE MONTH

We have recently been alerted to a most informative web-site which chronicles the current situation in Mugabe’s “Zimbabwe” which is entitled “Zimbabwe Crisis”. Although some aspects of this site (particularly its religious contents and the constant use of the “Z” word) may not be to the liking of many of our readers, it does even so contain a lot of hard information about the ongoing disasters of ZANU-PF rule, which could be very useful in spreading the truth. It can be accessed at :-

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

AMERICAN NIGHTMARE

Sir,

There are well established methods of wresting control of a country, or an area in a country, from the people whose homeland it is. One is to play the numbers game. If you/they move into someone else’s country in large numbers you/they will certainly obtain control. Obviously, having larger families [more children] will speed up this process. Soon you/they will have your/their own people in positions of authority. There was a television documentary in which representatives of the Spanish community in America stated quite brazenly that they were going to take control of North America from the Anglos by having more children. [Such people don’t care about the destructive effects of over-population. Their zeal for control is very great.]

In a democratic system the number of voters is a critical matter. An example of a viewpoint will be useful; There is a Civil Service Department where there are very few English. [There are probably now many such Civil Service Departments.] When Barack Obama became President of the United States there was much celebrating among the non-English-speaking staff. They were talking excitedly about there soon being a non-British Prime Minister of the UK.

Of course, this process can be facilitated by local traitors, who work against the indigenous population. These traitors help people to enter and remain in the host country. They also give them special advantages.

Nowadays, the military method of taking control of a country is less useful. It is generally too obvious, and generates a strong opposition. But, you will notice how HM Government has drastically reduced our defensive military forces.

Yours etc.,

G. Freeman, London, U.K.

ORANGEMAN

Sir,

The first Prince William of Orange (also called Guillaume de Gellone) lived in the 8th century, in the independent principality of Orange in southern France, a principality that was eventually decimated in the 17th century by the Catholic Church (is it any surprise that the Williams of Orange were Protestant?)

However, it was this William of Orange who kicked the invading Muslim army out of southern France in the late 8th century, and saved Christianity and Gnostic secularism from Islam.

But will the new William of Orange be as forward thinking and as bold as his illustrious predecessor?  Will the new William of Orange lead the fight against the barbarism and sloth of Islam?

Yours etc.,

Ralf Ellis, somewhere in the Near East.

ALL BLACK POWER

Sir,

Thanks for the latest edition of the SCN.

There is a movement in our Commonwealth countries currently, and all our flags are under attack!
What is it about? Getting rid of the Union Jack!  The wreckers hate it!

An abomination in Aussie is the joining of the Abo flag with the Oz one....and of course the Union Jack gets swiped, and the Abo pagan stuff replaces it, leaving only the Southern Cross stars to see!

Canada lost her Union Jack......and now has a useless Acer leaf.

Yours etc.,

R.Bara, New Zealand.

[ By “Union Jack” this correspondent of course means the Union Flag. – Ed.]

OBITUARY

It was with great sadness that we recently learnt of the untimely death of Graham “Basher” Downes, aged only 55.

Graham Downes played as tight-head prop for Natal on 44 occasions between 1983 and 1985, being part of the 1984 Natal side which reached the Currie Cup Final against Western Province. He is still remembered fondly in Natal rugby circles for his dedication and sheer strength of character. In 1986, however, he moved to the United States where he continued his rugby career, and indeed he subsequently won selection for the US national side, for whom he played during the 1987 Rugby World Cup finals in New Zealand.

The second of four boys, Graham Downes was born in Durban, and was educated at Glenwood Boys High School and at the University of Natal, where he gained a degree in architecture. Sensing the imminent handover of South Africa to the ANC he decided to move to San Diego in California.  Here he worked as an architect by day and as a sportsman by night, making a name for himself on the rugby field with the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club, which led to his selection for the US Eagles. He also founded his own architectural company, “Graham Downes Architecture”, which was responsible for many high-profile designs in the San Diego area.

It appears that Graham Downes was killed as a result of a fight with a disgruntled employee, but details are sketchy. He never married, but our condolences are extended to his brothers and to his many friends and former colleagues in both Natal and the San Diego area.
