December 1998 Edition.

SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

December 1998 Edition.

The last issue of 1998 - so let us wish all of our readers and supporters a most happy Yuletide and a successful and prosperous New Year. 1999 promises to be a very important year for the Springbok Club as we approach the Millenium, and as can be seen from the relevant page on our "South African Exiles" web-site we already have a most interesting series of events and meetings mapped out. With all of the continent of Africa now languishing under Black rule it is becoming clear that the descent of the whole continent into anarchy and chaos is becoming more and more rapid. It is obvious therefore that sooner or later (perhaps sooner than most of us realise) the powers-that-be in the West will be FORCED to intervene and (dare we say it) re-colonise in order to restore order and civilisation. When that day comes we will be able to resume our rightful place in the country which we all love - and that, after all, is one of the main aims of the Springbok Club. We must start to organise ready for our "return" however, and with this aim in mind we plan to stage a week's seminar in a rather exotic location towards the end of 1999 under the theme of "A New Agenda for a New Millenium". If you are interested in participating then please let us know.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

DAY OF THE VOW COMMEMORATION

The details of our special Day of the Vow gathering for 1998 are as follows :-

Date :  Tuesday 15th December 1998 (a day early we know, but it will be December 16th South African time when the event finishes!)

Time :  19.00 hrs onwards (no hard and fast starting time - feel free to turn up any time during the evening)

Venue : The Morpeth Arms, (the main function room), 58 Millbank, Westminster, London S.W.1. - nearest underground station :  Pimlico.

We are most honoured to be able to welcome as our Guest of Honour at this event Mr. Neil Hamilton, the former Conservative M.P. for Tatton from 1983 to 1997. As well as being an Assistant Government Whip from 1990 to 1992, and Under Secretary of State for Corporate Affairs at the Department of Trade and Industry from 1992 to 1994, Mr. Hamilton was also an active member of the British-South African Parliamentary Group from 1983 to 1994, and visited South Africa several times in this capacity. Although nowadays probably best known for the witch-hunt which was conducted against him by The Guardian newspaper and Mr. Mohammed al-Fayed, we know for certain that the full circumstances of this case have still to be finally established, and many important facts have still to be brought to light. To put it mildly, if it is a case of accepting the word of Mr. Hamilton or taking the word of a man who has constantly been refused British citizenship such as Mr. al-Fayed, then we know who we choose to believe! All in all, therefore, a man who it will be most interesting to hear speak! Incidentally, we also hope to be able to welcome an Italian student and supporter of the South African cause at this gathering.
Buffet snacks will be provided, and a small charge of £5.00 per head will be asked in order to help cover costs, which may be paid at the door.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

SOUTH AFRICAN FLAG MERCHANDISE FOR SALE

Don't forget that we still have various real South African flag material available, the prices being as follows :-

South African flag car stickers  -  £2.00 each.
South African table flags        -  £6.00 (with base) or £5.00 (without base).
[please add 50p for p.& p. - 30p if only ordering stickers.]

All payments should of course be made payable to "Patriotic Press", and sent to : BCM SAPAT, London  WC1N 3XX, U.K..

----------------------------------------------------------------------

CAN YOU HELP?

We are looking for a good venue somewhere in Central London to stage a video-showing in January. We need a room somewhere which possesses a video-player and large screen. Can anyone help we wonder? Although the venue on the Kent Coast where we staged our last braai was very good, we ideally would like to find somewhere in London to stage our two planned braais for 1999. Again if anyone knows of any outdoor site that we could use - ideally with a fixed braai-stand etc. already in place - then again please let us know.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

One of our biggest supporters from South Africa itself, Alice Boshoff from Bloemfontein, tells us about an interesting home-based business opportunity which she is involved with. Evidently this will be suitable for anyone throughout the world. If you are interested then please contact Alice direct for more details.

Her e-mail addresses are:-

alice@internext.co.za or alice@marques.co.za

----------------------------------------------------------------------

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

A regular feature in which we ask whether anyone knows the current whereabouts of a friend or colleague who has lost contact.

No.4 :  Mr. Rod Skinner.

Rod Skinner originally lived in Pietermartzburg, where he was a keen military historian who specialised in the marketing of militarana. He was last known to be living in the St.Lucia Bay area, and we would be very keen to make contact with him again.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE

Another regular feature, in which we recommend a web-site which we feel may be of interest to readers. This month's site is entitled "The Other Side of South Africa". It is evidently based in Cape Town, and although we know very little about the people behind it (and indeed do not agree with everything which is written therein), it does even so contain a lot of extremely interesting and first-hand information about the rapidly deteriorating state of South African society. It can be accessed at :-

http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/Shores/4627/index.htm

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, if you would prefer to be deleted from our "Springbok" mailing list then simply send us an e-mail with the word "unsubscribe" in it. Alternatively, if you liked this Cyber-Newsletter and think that any of your friends would like it also, then please let us have details of their e-mail addresses!
See you again next month!

November 1998 Edition.

SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

November 1998 Edition.

As you probably realise, we took a couple of bad "knocks" during the last month - but even so support for and interest in the Springbok Club continues to grow, and indeed we had a number of quite encouraging developments during September also. Our cause is just and we are determined to succeed in our aims, so it therefore will take a lot more to curtail our activities!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

OCTOBER SPRINGBOK CLUB MEETING

Tragedy of course struck us when our planned guest speaker for October, Nicholas Budgen, the former M.P. for Wolverhampton South-West, sadly died before he could fulfil his speaking commitment with us. We knew that Nicholas Budgen was a dying man when we were recommended to approach him to speak at one of our meetings (and indeed it is believed that he was particularly keen to address us because he wanted to go out "with all guns blazing"), but even so no-one realised that the end would come as quickly as it did. We were most fortunate, however, to be able to welcome a most illustrious last-minute replacement speaker in the form of the 13th Lord Belhaven and Stenton. Before the meeting begun a minute's silence was observed for Nicholas Budgen, and then his close colleague James Lewis of the W.I.S.E. association gave a short address in which he recounted his last few meetings with Nicholas Budgen, and surmised what he believed he intended to say. Lord Belhaven and Stenton then gave a most enthralling speech, in which he outlined why Britain's traditional links with the original Dominions of the Commonwealth - particularly South Africa - were so much more valuable than Britain's continuing disasterous membership of the EU. During question time he was asked when he considered the "rot set in" which led to the fall of South Africa, and immediately replied that it was when Mountbatten surrendered India! Unfortunately many supporters evidently thought that upon Nicholas Budgen's death our October meeting would be cancelled, so the attendence for such a distinguished guest was embarrassingly small. The Springbok Club is continuing to attract an increasingly high calibre of guest speakers, so we must try to ensure that we give them the full support that they deserve.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

LEON STRYDOM VISIT

The other serious problem which we encountered was the debacle which surrounded the proposed visit of Leon Strydom, the South African political commentator, to London. Leon Strydom had been an early supporter of the original S.A.Patriot, but for some unknown reason did not retain contact with us after we were forced to relocate operations "in exile". We were informed of his imminent visit to Europe only at very short notice, so we asked for him to make contact with us prior to our October meeting so that we could make arrangements for a subsequent informal get-together, and to announce the details then. This, alas, he failed to do. When he did make contact with us a few days later, moreover, he was still unable to inform us of his precise travel plans. We went ahead and arranged a tentative itinerary for him for the date when he most anticipated being in London even so, and 'phoned around to many of our most active supporters in order to ensure that there would be a good turn-out to meet him. Unfortunately, however, he failed to re-contact us by the date that he promised to confirm his travel plans, and two subsequent 'phone calls which we made to his contact address in Germany remained unanswered. Furthermore, we were subsequently informed by this German contact that he had left their accommodation and that they were unsure where he had gone to. We were therefore left with no alternative other than to cancel the entire arrangements. We must therefore apologise to all supporters for any inconvenience which this state of affairs may have caused. Although we subsequently surprisingly heard from Leon Strydom once he did eventually arrive in London, he could give us no explanation for his discourtesy, and we are still awaiting an apology from him for the way he messed us around.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

BRANCH DEVELOPMENT

We will be having another attempt to launch the Kent Branch of the Springbok Club on Friday 27th November. Anyone living in the county who would like to attend should therefore contact us at the usual address. Lancashire and Hampshire are two other counties where there are definite plans afoot to launch branches, so again anyone interested in either of these counties please let us know.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

SOUTH AFRICAN FLAG MERCHANDISE FOR SALE

We have been very fortunate to obtain a selection of real South African flag "souvenirs" from a Swiss colleague who is a very good friend of the South African cause. Items available and prices are as follows :-

South African flag lapel badges  -  £5.00 each.
South African flag car stickers  -  £2.00 each.
South African table flags        -  £6.00 (with base) or £5.00 (without base).
[please add 50p for p.& p. - 30p if only ordering stickers.]

For full details of the offer check out the S.A.Patriot-in-Exile web-page at :-
http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~springbk/patriot

All payments should of course be made payable to "Patriotic Press", and sent to : BCM SAPAT, London  WC1N 3XX, U.K..

----------------------------------------------------------------------

FUTURE SPRINGBOK CLUB MEETINGS

We will be holding a special Day of the Vow commemoration function on Tuesday 15th December at our usual venue, the Morpeth Arms in Pimlico, London S.W.1. Yes, we know that this is a day early - but by the time the gathering finishes it will be December 16th South African time! We are anticipating welcoming a most eminent personality, well-known on the South African scene, as our Guest of Honour at this event, and precise details will be given once finalised in the December edition of this newsletter. Buffet snacks will also be provided at this function, but in order to defray costs we will be asking the small amount of £3.50 per head. Tickets will of course be available at the door, but anybody who would like to pay in advance, or who cannot attend but would like to assist our cause, should again send payments to "Patriotic Press", BCM SAPAT, London WC1N 3XX, U.K..

We have also arranged a most exciting PROVISIONAL itinerary of events for 1999, which can be seen in detail on our Springbok Club web-page at :-

http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~springbk/springbk

As you will see, we've planned a very good mix of "serious" and "social" events for next year, so we hope that as many supporters as possible will able to patronise us as often as they can. You will also see that our excursion to Amsterdam (which unfortunately had to be postponed from November as a "knock-on effect" from the Leon Strydom trip debacle) has now been re-scheduled for July - though the date may have to be swapped around if any of our overseas guest speakers cannot make their provisional dates.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

One of our supporters, Nick Read from Canada, tells us about an interesting home-based business opportunity which he has to offer. This evidently involves the retailing of certain nutritional products, so if anyone is interested they should contact Nick direct at : neosmurf@escape.ca

----------------------------------------------------------------------

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

A regular feature where we ask if anyone knows the current whereabouts of a friend or colleague who has lost contact.

No.4 :  Mr. Patrick Kenney.

Patrick Kenney was very active in campaigns opposing municipal integration in Durban during the 1970s. He was an energetic and fearless campaigner during those days, and undoubtedly his talents could still be a great asset in today's struggle. We are uncertain whether he is still in South Africa, but if anyone knows anything about his current whereabouts please let us know.

[We were planning to make an important enquiry concerning a lost relative of a Rhodesian supporter in this column this month - but happily we have just learnt that he has been traced! This demonstrates the effectiveness of such "cyber enquiries", so if you have any lost friend or colleague who you would like to try to trace please let us know.]

----------------------------------------------------------------------

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE

Another regular feature, in which we recommend a web-site which we feel may be of interest to readers. This month's site belongs to an organisation which we are very close to, and which indeed we feel shares the same basic aims and objectives as we do - the American-based Falklands Society. The Falkland Islands, of course, faced the same threat of alien takeover as South Africa did during the 1980's - though they happily were rescued from invasion by the British forces during Margaret Thatcher's glorious rule. The Falklands Society, however, is not only concerned with Falkland Islands affairs, and have as one of their main aims the fostering of good U.S./U.K. relations as were in existance during the Reagan/Thatcher years. Well worth a visit at :-

http://www.falklands.org

Alternatively, if you liked this Cyber-Newsletter and think that any of your friends would like it also, then please let us have details of their e-mail addresses!

October 1998 Edition.

SPRINGBOK CYBER-NEWSLETTER

October 1998 edition

Most supporters will probably already be aware of the tragic news that our planned guest speaker for October, Mr. Nicholas Budgen, sadly died earlier today. We were aware when we made contact with Mr.Budgen that he was a dying man, but perhaps for this reason more than any other he was very keen to go out with "all guns blazing", and was therefore extremely keen to give his support to our organisation, and the ideals of Old White Commonwealth unity which we espouse. Our heartfelt symphathies go out to Mr. Budgen's family and his loved ones.

In spite of this tradegy our planned Springbok Club meeting for October will still go ahead as planned however - as much in tribute to Nicholas Budgen than for any other reason. His close colleague James Lewis from the W.I.S.E. association will deliver a message which he asked to be passed on to our meeting, and we will also be most honoured to welcome as a last-minute replacement speaker the 13th Lord Belhaven and Stenton. Lord Belhaven and Stenton has been a fierce and long-standing critic of the European Union, and has spoken eloquently against the dangers posed by the EU in the House of Lords. He is also a strong friend of the Dominions of the original British Commonwealth, and believes that they can still form a viable alternative to the EU.

Details once again are thereforeas follows :-

Date : Thursday 29th October 1998   Time : 19.30 hrs.

Venue : The Morpeth Arms, 58 Millbank, Pimlico, Westminster, London SW1.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SEPTEMBER SPRINGBOK CLUB ACTIVITES

We were lucky to welcome not one but two excellent speakers to our Springbok Club meeting in September. Mr. Derek Turner, the editor of the influential conservative magazine Right Now!, gave a riveting talk on the history, philosophy and ambitions of the magazine, and a close colleague from Finland also gave us a very informative and encouraging report on the progress of the Finnish-South African Friendship Society. Unfortunately the attendence at this meeting was very poor, which was a great pity in view of the high standard of speakers who we had as guests. Perhaps the main reason for this poor turnout was because so many supporters had attended the Rhodesia Christian Group's reception for Ian Smith the day before. This turned out to be a most inspiring gathering, and as well as having the opportunity to meet and hear the great man once again, we were also able to meet a number of other good friends from the past!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BRANCH DEVELOPMENT

Unfortunately the planned formation meeting of the Kent Branch of the Springbok Club was subjected to what can only be described as a sabotage wrecking campaign by neo-Nazi elements. Needless to say we have nothing but contempt for such vermin - but the fact that our enemies feel it so important to disrupt our activities surely illustrates what a great impact our efforts are already having! Plans to form a Kent Branch will still go ahead however, and moves are afoot to hold another formation meeting at a different venue before the end of the year. Hopefully the first public meeting will therefore be organised for early 1999, when a talk on the history of the "Save Rhodesia Campaign" will be delivered. We also intend to give this same talk at other branch meetings as and when they are established around the UK and Europe. If you are interested in forming a branch in your own area then therefore please let us know.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AMSTERDAM TRIP

Our planned trip to Amsterdam is now scheduled for the weekend of 27th/29th November. If you are interested in attending please let us know as soon as possible.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CAN YOU HELP?

Two supporters have recently made specific requests of us. Firstly Mr. Brian Hall from the United States tells of a planned rugby tournament in Belgium during the spring of 1999, and wonders whether there might be any other expatriate Southern African teams willing to participate? Even if we are not able to raise such a team ourselves (which of course is very doubtful!) this still might prove to be a very enjoyable event to visit if anyone is interested?

Secondly Mr. Martin Bird has asked whether anyone knows anything about "Electrical Apprentice Board/Associations" in the UK. His son wishes to sit his Trade Tests in the UK, and wonders whether this is possible?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

A regular feature where we ask if anyone knows the current whereabouts of a friend or colleague who has lost contact.

No.3 :  Mr. Owen Parvess.

Owen Parvess lived most of his early life in Rhodesia, where as well as serving in the Rhodesian Armed Forces was also active with the Rhodesian Action Party and the Rhodesian Movement. After the fall of Rhodesia he immediately came to South Africa, where as well as founding a successful business he also once more became politically active in the cause of the White Man. He was last known to be living in Paradise Valley, Pinetown, but it is believed that he has now left the country with his family.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BONFIRE CELEBRATIONS

Many supporters will be visiting Lewes on November 5th in order to celebrate the 393rd anniversary of the discovery of the Gunpwder Plot, and the 310th anniversary of the landing of William, Prince of Orange, at Tor Bay. We will be rendezvousing in "The Volunteer" at Library Corner in the late afternoon, and will be basing ourselves at Cliffe Corner to watch the parades of the evening. If interested in joining us simply look out for the [real] South African lapel badges.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE

Another regular feature, in which we recommend a web-site which we feel may be of interest to our readers. This month's site is very appropriate in the run-up to the 5th, and is a superlative American-constructed site detailing the history, traditions and celebrations of Bonfire Night. This is an extensive site, and is well worth a long and detailed look. It can be accessed at :-

http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/9799/bonfires.html

SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

September 1998 edition

Many thanks to all those friends who sent positive responses to the initial edition of the "Springbok Cyber-Newsletter". It was good to learn that it hit such a receptive chord.

Thanks also to all those supporters who attended our August meeting. This turned out to be a good success, with a higher turnout than for several months, and with some most interesting and very welcomed new faces in the audience! All who attended will agree that John Samuel spoke brilliantly, and gave some very detailed and perceptive updates on the current situations both in South Africa and in Northern Ireland. The greatest applause of the evening, however, came when he stated that Mandela was simply a terrorist murdered who should still be behind bars! Fuller details of Mr. Samuel's speech can be found on the Springbok Club web-page:-

http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~springbk/springbk.html

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEXT SPRINGBOK CLUB MEETING

Just a reminder that details of our next meeting are as follows :-

Date : Thursday 24th September 1998   Time : 19.30 hrs.

Venue : The Morpeth Arms, 58 Millbank, Pimlico, Westminster, London SW1.

We will have two guest speakers for this event. The main speaker will be Mr. Derek Turner (editor of the influential Conservative magazine RIGHT NOW!), but our special guest will be Mr. Mikka Mikonmaa, a leading official of the Finnish-South African Friendship Society.

We have deliberately planned this gathering to coincide with the Rhodesian Christian Group's reception with Ian Smith the previous evening, and hope that many people who are planning to come to London for this event will therefore be able to stay over an extra night and attend our Springbok Club meeting on the 24th also.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEWS FROM SWEDEN

We are happy to be able to report that the Organiser's trip to Sweden proved a great success. An embryo branch of the Springbok Club was successfully established in Stockholm, and will be run by two good and long-standing Swedish friends of South Africa, Lars Karnestam and Eric Magnusson. Hopefully regular gatherings will commence there in the next few months, and indeed another trip is being planned for next year in order to address a future branch meeting. If anyone has other contacts in Sweden who might be interested in this venture then please let us know, and we'll pass on the details to the Stockholm branch.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BRANCH DEVELOPMENT

A Kent Branch of the Springbok Club is to be launched on Friday 18th September in Whitstable under the chairmanship of Mr. Colin Lucas. If anyone in Kent (or who has contacts in the county) is interested in attending (late though the time now is!) please e-mail us and we'll let you know the precise details. It is tentatively planned to stage a larger meeting later this year in the Canterbury area where the Organiser will give a talk on the history of the "Save Rhodesia Campaign". If anyone in other parts of the U.K. is interesting to forming a branch in their area and would also like to hear this same interesting and informative talk please let us know and we'll make arrangements.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AMSTERDAM TRIP

Our planned trip to Amsterdam is still on schedule for October. Precise details have still to be finalised, and will announced in the October edition of this cyber-newsletter. Even so, if anybody is interesting in attending please let us know as soon as possible, so that accurate arrangements can be made.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FALKLAND ISLANDS LINKS

We have recently made good contacts with the Falkland Islands Association in London. The Falkland Islands, of course, suffered their own take-over by alien forces in 1982 - but were quickly liberated by their kith and kin of the British armed forces. Perhaps this could still act as an inspiration for the beleagured Whites of Southern Africa! Anyway, we have a very interesting video-recording of life on the Islands which we think might make an excellent attraction for a future meeting. If anyone therefore knows of a venue in central London with video facilities then please let us know. [Incidentally - early days though it is - a trip to the Falklands is being planned for the year 2002 - the 20th anniversary of the liberation! - so again, if you are interested, please contact us.]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

A regular feature where we ask if anyone knows the current whereabouts of a friend or colleague who has lost contact.

No.2 :  Mr. Pieter Janse van Rensburg of Durban.

Piet van Rensburg worked as a guard on S.A.Railways in Durban during the 1980's, and was a good friend of S.A.Patriot. He lived successively in Montclair and Queensburgh, but was last known living in McKenzie Road near Durban Central Railway Station. Alas he seems to have moved from there, but we're very keen to be able to re-make contact with him if possible.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE

Another regular feature, in which we recommend a web-site which we feel may be of interest to our readers. This week's site is probably well known to many supporters, it being the official Rhodesians Worldwide web-page - but even so we thought we'd include it in case anyone still hasn't had chance to see this superlative site full of Rhodesiana. It can be accessed at :-

http://www.bluering.cowan.edu.au/~rwebb

SPRINGBOK CYBER-NEWSLETTER

August 1998 edition

Welcome to the first edition of the "Springbok Cyber-Newsletter" - a new service which we hope you will find most informative and enjoyable. We hope to produce issues regularly each month from now onwards. The basic aim of this service is to inform you of all the latest news and developments concerning the SPRINGBOK CLUB and other associated organisations and enterprises. We will not be concentrating on current developments actually inside South Africa however - these can still be seen on our "Latest News from South Africa" web-page :-

http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~springbk/news.html

Don't forget to tell your friends and colleagues about this site!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEXT SPRINGBOK CLUB MEETING

Just a reminder that details of our next meeting are as follows :-

Date : Tuesday 11th August 1998   Time : 19.30 hrs.

Venue : The Morpeth Arms, 58 Millbank, Pimlico, Westminster, London SW1.

Guest Speaker : Mr. John Samuel  -  who will speak on the links and similarities between the Southern African and Ulster struggles, and will give a first-hand report on this year's activities at Drumcree.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FUTURE SPRINGBOK CLUB MEETINGS

Unfortunately both Mr. Brian McConnell from Canada and Mr. Nicky Lamprecht from Durban will not be able to visit the U.K. this year after all, but both hope to be here sometime during 1999 and will talk to the Springbok Club then.

Mr. Lars Karnestam from Sweden is still planning to visit here later this year however, and Mr. Denis Walker (the former Rhodesian cabinet minister) has also promised to address us soon. Precise dates have still to be finalised however, but will probably take place in September and/or November.

The Rhodesian Christian Group tell us that they are staging a reception in London with Ian Smith as guest speaker on Wednesday 23rd September. It might be a good idea therefore to arrange one of these SPRINGBOK CLUB meetings either the day before or the day after, so people travelling to London will be able to stay overnight and attend both events.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BRANCH DEVELOPMENT

Several of our supporters in Sweden have expressed an interest in starting a branch of the SPRINGBOK CLUB there. Direct contact is going to me made over there later this month, and hopefully we will be able to establish two branches - one in Stockholm and the other in southern Sweden. Needless to say Lars Karnestam (who many may remember from his trip to South Africa in 1986) is the leading strength behind this development! Further details in the next issue.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AMSTERDAM TRIP

One of our supporters in the Netherlands has given us the tentative offer of coming over as a club to stay at their cafe for a weekend. It is thought most probable that we will try to arrange this event for sometime during October. If you would be interesting in attending then please let us know.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AFRIKAANS SHOW

Another friend, Mr. Hennie van Greunen from Cape Town, has told us that he aims to bring his one-man Afrikaans language show "Blougat" to London shortly, but is still not certain whether he can arrange a venue. Again if you can help in any way - or would like to attend this show - please let us know.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

A regular feature where we ask if anyone knows the current whereabouts of a friend or colleague who has lost contact.

No.1 :  Mr. Paul Robinson of Natal.

Although Paul was born and brought up in Devon in the U.K., he emigrated to South Africa in the early '80s and stayed in Jo'burg, Durban, and more recently at Umhlanga. He was a good friend and supporter of both S.A.PATRIOT and the PATRIOTIC FORUM (in a way the "ancestor" of the SPRINGBOK CLUB) during that time, but unfortunately we lost contact with him about three to four years ago. As he was such a good friend however, and as we had so much admiration for his patriotism and active enthusiasm for the cause, we would therefore very much like to make contact with him again. Please, can anybody help?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITE

Another regular feature, in which we recommend a web-site which we feel may be of interest to many of our readers. This week's site will probably be of interest to those who will not be able to attend our next meeting on the 11th, but who are interested to learn the true facts about the Drumcree "stand-off". It is entitled "McKenna - Behind the Mask" and gives details of the full evil background of the terrorist Brendanm McKenna who is causing so much trouble amongst his fellow nationalists on the Gervaghy Road. It can be accessed at :-

http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/Quarters/8901/mckenna.html

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OBITUARY

Finally it is our sad duty to report the sad death from throat cancer of a very good friend of both Ulster and South Africa, Mr. Robin "the Jackal" Jackson, at the tragically early age of only 49. Robin was born in Northern Ireland, and from an early age gave his active support to the struggle to keep Ulster British. In the mid '80s, however, he became very interested in the similar struggle against terrorism of his kith and kin in South Africa, so journeyed to the country in order to give his support. During his time in the sub-continent he visited both South Africa itself and the then South-West Africa, where he gave advice and encouragement to other patriotic activists who he met. Robin is survived by a son and two daughters - in them we trust that the spirit of their father's dedicated patriotism lives on. His name will be written in our Roll of Honour for ever.
